Hello Gators,

Before you start reading this email, go get a glass of water and drink it.

1.  Meet Documents.  Attached you will find important information regarding tonight's meet.  On the heat sheet I have written the events that will be combined tonight - there are a lot of events being combined, so make sure to pay close attention. All relays will be combined plus many individual events.

2.  Glenridge v. Mother Nature.  It's not cold and it isn't storming.  It's just hotter than...you know.  If you have a pop up tent, please bring it for tonight.  Salem Glen has informed me that they have no shade on the pool deck.  You also need to bring chairs to sit in.  I'll bring the expanding benches for the 6u swimmers to keep them together.  Everyone else needs a place to sit.  Bring anything you need to stay cool and hydrated while out on deck.  We don't need anyone passing out or getting sick.  If you are a volunteer on deck and feel faint, weak or ill - please speak up!!

3.  Meet Location.  Salem Glen Pool is located at 345 Ryder Cup Lane. It’s not located near the clubhouse. Parking in the pool lot and on the street is ok. The snack bar will be open and accepts cash only. They will have water for volunteers. The pool is shaped like a capital I. Glenridge can set up on the left of the center of the I. Salem Glen asks that no spectators sit or stand at the start end of the pool. Please leave that space for the swimmers to line up, timers and officials. There’s plenty of space to cheer on the swimmers up close on the sides and opposite end of the pool. 

4.  Arrival.  Please have your swimmer to Salem Glen by 5:00pm.  Our warm up will start at 5:15pm.  Put sunscreen on your swimmer BEFORE you write their events on them with sharpie.  We will have the events listed on our team board.  If your child isn't marked when you arrive, we ask that parents step in to help mark their kids.

5.  Post-meet Team Get Together!  We haven't had one of these yet!  After the meet, for those looking to get together for dinner, let's meet up at Cugino Forno in Clemmons!  Address is 6316 Clemmons Point Dr. Clemmons, NC.  They have lots of big tables in an air conditioned restaurant with gelatto and an ice cream shop next door.

6.  Visiting Team.  Tonight we are swimming against a team that only has 16 swimmers at the meet.  Salem Glen is a neighborhood pool (like us) and they were only able to open their pool last week.  As such, their summer team is very small.  Let's be good guests and make sure we leave the pool better than we found it.  Please make sure your kids pick up all of their own trash and throw it away.  Do not use sharpie markers to write on anything other than their own skin.

Ok, if you haven't finished your glass of water by now go ahead and chug the rest.  Stay hydrated my friends!  Let's have some fun tonight and make the most of our time together - we only have less than 3 weeks left!
