Happy New Year Gators!!

It is officially 2026 so the countdown to summer swim is officially ON!!  In 4.5 short months our summer 2026 season will officially begin!  Here is some important information.

1.  Season Schedule

Attached is the regular season swim meet schedule.  Please note that all of our home meet are stacked at the END of the season.  This means we will have 3 home swim meets within a span of 14 days.  Glenridge has been placed in the middle tier this season.  Our meets will be a little longer and we might play an underdog role, but it will be an exciting change to see some new places and faces.

2.  Registration

We will open registration by April 1st this year.  Registration will start with Glenridge residents, returning families and coaches then open to new families.

3.  Volunteer Committees

We will have a Glenridge parent get together tomorrow, January 4th at 4pm at the den area/coffee bar in Lowes Foods.  What better way to pass the time on a cold, dreary winter day than to talk about summer swim??  Plan your grocery order ahead and come have a beverage of your choice and visit with your fellow gator parents!

I would love to get more parents involved with behind the scenes work on season planning and this meeting will be a great way to get started with our discussions.  Here are the areas I need help:

I.  Food/beverage/concessions- I need help and input on food vendors - specifically for home meets.  Last year Kristen Faulkner was a big help in this area!  If Kristen and anyone else would like to help in this area, please let me know.

II.  Merchandise- I need help and input on designing our season t-shirt!  I'd also love to hear thoughts on other ideas on Gator Gear.  We've done different things in years past so I'd love to hear thoughts.

III.  Season Banquet/Fun Friday/Pancake Breakfast-  I would love to have a group of parents to help plan these events for the team and share ideas.

IV.  Fundraising-  this is an area that I would like to expand upon.  We operate on a very tight budget and I would like to avoid raising registration fees.  We need to buy things like new backstroke flags, swimming equipment and possibly a new sound system.  This spring would be a great opportunity to have a Gator Rummage sale to raise money for the team!  If you would be interested in helping with this idea, this committee is for you!!
