Hi Everyone!

One week of summer swim in the books! (almost) Here are a few important bits of information:

1.  First, my apologies to anyone that got a suspicious paperless post email from my email account last night.  It is a scam so DON'T OPEN OR CLICK ON LINKS!  If you did, make sure you change your password and log your email out of all of your devices.  

2.  Our wildest dreams have come true!  The swim league has decided to have another training for stroke and turn judges on Wednesday, June 3rd at 7:30pm at Forsyth Country Club.  Remember, all stroke and turn judges that train or become re-certified will be entered into a drawing for a custom Glenridge Yeti!!  Sign up for the training here:  https://www.signupgenius.com/go/10C0E49ACA92BAAFCC...

3.  We are keeping an eye on the weather.  Please make sure to download the swimtopia app!  If practice is delayed or cancelled, we will send out a push notification and email.  If there is thunder or lightning, the pool will take a mandatory 30 minute break.

4.  Tonight (thursday) is our last practice of the week.  We do not have swim team practice on Friday evenings.

5.  Our mock meet will be next Thursday evening.  This will be a fun and relaxed practice swim meet where we are only swimming freestyle, backstroke and a relay.  Our swimmers get a chance to race some events and our volunteers get a chance to see what it is like to run a meet.  Our 6 and under swimmers will only be entered into backstroke if they are truly able to swim the stroke.  Any 6 and under swimmer that needs a spotter, will have a coach in the water with them while they swim.  We will also be having a team spirit night at Bobo's Deli that evening!  Feel free to get some Bobo's to go and eat at the pool or head to Bobo's after the meet.  In order to be entered into the mock meet (or any swim meet this season, you MUST DECLARE your swimmer.  Here is how to declare for a meet:

      (1) Go to the team website and login to your account: https://glenridgegatorswinstonsalem.swimtopia.com/

      (2) Hover over the "Meets & Events" tab and click on "Sign Up Calendar"

      (3) Go to the meet you want to declare for and click on "meet entry open"

 (4) You will see your swimmer's name listed.  Click on the black "Edit" button under their name(s)

(5) click on the box under your child(ren)'s name(s) and select whether they are attending the meet or not.  If you select that you are attending the meet, you will be prompted to let us know if your swimmer(s) is/are unavailable for relays or if there are any notes you want to leave

(6) when you are finished, click on the black "Save" button at the bottom of the page.  Congratulations! You have declared for a meet!

(7) deadline to enter in the mock meet will be 5pm on Wednesday 5/27
