Happy belated Father's Day to all of the Gator dads!  Hope everyone had a fun day!

Welcome to a busy, but fun, week of summer swim!  There is important information in this email so please read all the way through!

1.  Swimmer's ear PSA

The days are getting water and the pool water is getting warmer.  With this, the chances of getting swimmer's ear goes up.  I know of two confirmed cases of swimmers ear in the past week.  Swimmer's ear is a really painful infection of the middle ear canal.  The best way to prevent swimmer's ear is to get the water out of your ears when you swim.  The best way to do this is use ear drops.  You can get over the counter ear drying drops at the drug store or you can make your own 50/50 mixture of distilled white vinegar and isopropyl alcohol.  Just put a few drops in your child's ear after they finish swimming to help dry out that water.

2.  Glenridge @ Westwood 6/23

We have an away meet on Tuesday 6/23 at Westwood (265 Harper Street, Winston Salem).  I'll send a separate email about this meet.  Declarations for this meet close Monday 6/22 (TODAY) at 5pm.  Double check volunteer jobs

3.  First HOME meet!!

We have our first HOME meet this THURSDAY 6/25!  We will host Willow Run.  Declarations for this meet close Wednesday 6/24 at 5pm.  Please look at the volunteer jobs for this meet.  Home meets are always busier than away meets and require more jobs.  Please make sure all of our jobs are filled!

4.  No morning practice on Tuesday or Thursday morning  

Since we have two swim meets this week, we will not have practice on Tuesday or Thursday morning.
