Hi Gators,

Hard to believe it but this is our last full week of the swim season!  We have a lot of events in the next few days so please make sure you read all the way through this message.

1.  Oak Valley @ Glenridge Tuesday July 7th.

This Tuesday is our last dual meet and our last home meet of the season.  DECLARATIONS FOR THIS MEET CLOSE TONIGHT at 8pm!  We will be working on meet entries tomorrow morning so please get your declarations in ASAP.  We will be hosting Oak Valley.  Glenridge warm up is 5:00-5:15.  Meet will start at 5:30.  Vendors will be Kaveman Dogs and Knightly Rose Italian Ice.

As you might have guessed, we have volunteer jobs to fill.  I know we are all getting a little volunteer fatigued, but we are in the home stretch.  Let's make one more solid push to get these jobs filled so we can put on one final meet for our kids.  Thanks for your help this season!

2.  GFSL Finals

DECLARATIONS FOR GFSL FINALS ON SUNDAY 7/12 CLOSE MONDAY NIGHT (7/6) AT 8PM!  We have to turn entries into the league by Thursday so we need time to get these done.  As mentioned previously, this is not a meet that you can sign up for and change your mind at the last minute.  Each swimmer costs the team $15 to enter.  Barring unexpected illness or injury, if you sign up to swim at finals, you are expected to be there.  The GAC is an indoor facility that is grounded - this means that even if we have thunderstorms throughout the meet, the meet will go on uninterrupted.  No weather cancellations in the summertime.  If you sign your child up to swim at finals, we are required to fill a few volunteer rolls.  Please sign up to volunteer.  The only way a parent can be on deck at finals is to be a volunteer.

3. Pancake breakfast

This Friday will be our traditional pancake breakfast.  We will have pancakes, fruit, drinks and sides.  This is a fun event but also one that requires a lot of planning and teamwork to put together. Please RSVP your attendance here:  https://glenridgegatorswinstonsalem.swimtopia.com/...

We are in need of a few volunteer spots filled for item contribution.  Please help us to make this last practice a fun experience for the kids!

4.  End of Year Party

On Monday July 13th we will have our end of the year pool party from 5:30-7:30 at the pool.  We will have pizza, a nice salad and a sweet treat (to be determined).  In order to have enough food for everyone (and also to avoid having too much food that goes uneaten), please RSVP for this event https://glenridgegatorswinstonsalem.swimtopia.com/...

We usually guesstimate about 2 slices per person.  If you don't plan on eating pizza or only plan on eating 1 piece, please let us know in your RSVP.

5.  Weather

Looking ahead at the forecast over the next several days, we have chances for thunderstorms almost each day.  This may impact many of our activities- including our meet.  Keep an eye out for push notifications.  I'll try and keep everyone notified of any changes as best as I can as quickly as possible.

6.  Welcome back Rogers!

Some good news to share- Wende Rogers and her husband Andrew made it HOME from Cleveland Clinic!  Wende continues to get a little stronger each day!  Our Gator family was able to gift them $200 from our fundraiser at the first meet!  Continue to pray for the Rogers as Wende continues her recovery!
