Good Morning Gators,

Hard to believe that a week ago today at this very moment we were on deck with our little 10 and under swimmers at finals!  Looking back over the past 8 weeks, we had a very memorable season!  We saw so much growth in all of our kids both in the water and out of the water.  I'm hoping that the lessons learned and the friendships made at the pool carry with everyone as we start to transition into a new school year and a new chapter.

I wanted to take a few minutes to express my heartfelt thanks and gratitude to everyone that made this season so special.  To the parents- thank you so much for your support and encouragement this season.  From helping with our yard sale fundraiser to helping with our final team party, you showed up every step of the way.  Our team doesn't register kids - we register families.  To our coaches- thank you for everything you did to work with our kids, to make them feel confident and your unwavering enthusiasm for swim.  You all grew and took ownership of this team in the best possible way.  I'm so proud of every single one of you.  To our swimmers- thank you for your positive attitudes, willingness to learn, drive to get better and for being the best group of kids around!

As a lot of you know, Jeremy and I traveled to Philadelphia on Wednesday to take Morgan to CHOP for her knee surgery.  Her surgery on Thursday went better than expected.  She started right into her PT on Friday and has hit some strength and motion milestone ahead of schedule.  She went into her surgery as strong as she could under the circumstances.  We are thankful that summer swim allowed her to help keep her strength in a non weight bearing environment.  More importantly it kept her happy with her friends when so much was taken away this summer.  We are so grateful for this team for helping her (and the rest of our family)  through this tough period!  We are excited to fly home tomorrow night!

Lastly, thank you so much for the gift cards!  I'm humbled by your generosity and kindness and promise they will be put to good use!

Finally, for those families who could not make it to the banquet, we have a school approved CLEAR water bottle for your swimmer to use during the school year as our end of season gift!  Once we get back to town, I'll send out a message about how we can get those to your kids.
